Around 5,000 rowers from 45 nations are expected to attend the FISA Masters rowing regatta on the New Danube from 3 to 6 September in Austria. Over four days, the athletes will compete against each other in more than 3,500 boats and in 470 races in all categories of boat. The route is a uniform 1,000 meters long and has 8 rowing lanes that are visually separated using the Albano system.

A race starts every 3 minutes and the competition runs without interruption from 8.00 am to about 6.30 pm. The event venue can be accessed by shuttle buses plying from U1 station Kaisermühlen to Steinspornbrücke.

As each lap is a completed race and the winner receives a decoration, around 3,000 winner's medals will be given out.
