Bohemian Switzerland is a unique landscape area spreading out over the northwest of Bohemia and extending over the border of the Czech Republic to the Federal State of Saxony. Good starting points for visiting this area are Děčín, Hřensko or the eastern side of the town of Krásná Lípa and Dolní Poustevna. On the weekend of 16 – 17 April (i.e. already the week before Easter) the now traditional
joint Opening of the tourist season in Bohemian Switzerland will be taking place, prepared by the Bohemian Switzerland Company together with other partners. The premiere of a new nature trail around Pravčice Gate has been prepared for fans of the countryside and hiking. For lovers of adrenaline experiences in the countryside, a trip with a guide has been prepared to Saxon Switzerland called Tram to the Rocks. This is one of the most popular routes of past seasons, on which it is possible, similar to in the Alps, to follow a trail equipped with safety barriers full of adrenaline-fuelled surprises(chimneys and gullies), and to choose various means of transport: train, tram or ferry. After the ascent to the rocky ridges, wonderful views over the Saxony National Park await tourists. |
