The historic train, consisting of first generation metro carriages, is scheduled for metro line C from Kačerov depot to Holešovice Railway Station(map) and back. The train will stop in the tunnel which was built in Nuselský Bridge. In addition, passengers will be invited into the engine driver’s compartment for a while in order to observe the driver when working. What is more, they will have a chance to look into the metro operating points which are otherwise inaccessible to them. At Kačerov Station (depot) and in the service station in Holešovice, visitors can explore the technical facilities as well. The historic underground train
comprises three Ečs type carriages which on 9 May 1974 were the first to open the regular Prague metro operation between Kačerov and Sokolovská (now called Florenc) on line C. The programme is scheduled for approximately two hours. It is offered once a month, twice a day; from 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Groups are limited to 90 passengers so you should book the ticket ahead of time. The organiser is the Dopravní podnik hlavního města Prahy. |
