Description: one of the oldest cities in Poland, regarded by UNESCO as one of the world's twelve most significant historic sites, was also chosen to be one of the cultural cities of Europe in 2000. The tour includes all the highlights of the Old Town that made Cracow famous such as the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill with its Cathedral, the Slowacki Theatre, the biggest medieval Main Market Square in Central Europe, compared in size only to Piazza San Marco in Venice, St. Mary’s Basilica, and the former Jewish quarter - Kazimierz, one of the oldest universities in Europe – the Jagiellonian University, founded in the 14th century. Krakow (Cracow) is known for its many avant-garde underground pubs, theatres and a romantic park surrounding the heart of the downtown.
