Castle Tratzberg  is a Renaissance perl among Austria’s castles such as : Porcia Castle, Rosenburg, Palace Hof,Starkenberg castle, Altenhof Castle, etc. Castle Tratzberg  was documented for the first time in the 13th century and it was used as border against the Bavarians and also it was used  as Emperor Maximilian’s  hunting lodge. But, in the late 15th century the former fortress was destroyed by fire. After fire, the Castle was rebuild several times and thanks to the family’s dedication and efforts , Castle Tratzberg   became a gem of a 16th century Tyrolean castle .
