Some notes for European Travel : Budapest is the capital city of Hungary and occupies both the banks of the river Danube.
Budapest has 23 districts: 6 are located in Buda, 16 in Pest and 1 on the Csepel Island. The largest Synagogue in Europe is located in Budapest. Its name is the Great Synagogue.The largest medicinal bath in Europe - Szechenyi Medicinal Bath. The third largest Parliament building is located in Budapest. The third largest church in Europe, Esztergom Basilica.
The city also houses several World Heritage Sites : the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle Quarter, Andrássy Avenue and the Millennium Underground railway. |
