On Friday, April 16th, 2010 the traffic at Airport of Prague, Airport of Vienna, Airport of Budapest were ceased as a result of the recent volcanic eruption in Island. The airspace over Central Europe will remain closed until Monday, 19 April 2010. Passengers whose flights are scheduled after April 16th are asked not to travel to the airport and should contact their airlines to determine the status of their flights. |

Tomorrow, the eyes of the whole world will be in Europe on the Czech Republic because US President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will meet in Prague in order a sign a new strategic arms reduction treaty. Obama will arrive in Prague on April 8 and stay until the afternoon of April 9. Medvedev’ will arrive from Slovakia in the evening on April 7 and leave April 8. This is the second visit of Obama to Prague, and the first one of Medvedev. The signing will take place in Prague Castle’s Spanish Hall (Prague Palace) noon on Thursday. The two leaders are scheduled to meet for bilateral talks first, after that the treaty will be sign and a press conference will take place. Lunch will follow in Prague Castle’s Rudolph Gallery for US, Czech and Russian leaders. |

The history of Czech Republic: the Flag of Czech Republic are celebrating its 90th anniversary. The original flag was adopted on March 30, 1920. The flag contains red, white and blue colors: two equal horizontal bands of white (top) and red with a blue isosceles triangle based on the hoist side. The Czech flag doesn't really have any special meaning. The colors are Bohemian and Moravian traditional colors, which were inherited from various coats of arms. The author of the flag is Jaroslav Kursa (1875–1950), an archivist of the Department of Home Affairs. |

Easter Markets on Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square are passing from Saturday 20.3. till Sunday 11.4.2010. There are the most popular and main Easter markets in Czech Republic. Open daily from 9am till 7pm (each weekend till 8pm). Children's Easter Workshops are from Modnay till Friday weekly, from 3pm till 6pm (from 12 till 6pm - weekends). |
